These videos are SO 2005...

I stumbled across a couple wonderful videos online this morning, that I wanted to share with all my SilverFutureHolics so tune your computer TV over here for a bit of fun.

First of all, Stereogum posted the videos for both Saul Williams' "List of Demands (reparations)" and the cover by sweet Swedes Jenny Wilson and Robyn Carlsson. I had never seen either and they're both quite entertaining in their own ways. I recommend watching them both.

Whatever you do though, don't miss Terry Brown: Slow Playing Tape Deck. This is what Google Video was invented for! "We're not gonna need a tweeter for what we're doing today." (via GetLoFi)

Oprah begins the coverup...

Well, I did say that it would make for a great episode of "Chappelle's Show". Apparently, The Chappelle Theory, was just put together to promote a short film by Charlie Murphy and Dave's writing partner, Neal Brennan. Or is that just what the Dark Crusaders want us to think?

Not related but awesome: Worst Rap Battle

And in the spirit of Christmas, a new movie trailer mash-up: The Passion of the Christ meets Yakety Sax.

What have you done for me lately, Bill Cosby?

This is interesting, Dave Chappelle conspiracy theory. Here's a website that spells out exactly why Dave broke down and pulled the plug on his show. It seems a little far fetched, but if it's true, it's totally kickass, I want woken up in the middle of the night to be threatened by Oprah! If nothing else, Dave probably could have gotten an episode out of it. (via Defamer)

Bonus theory: Stephen King Killed John Lennon!

They're just saying what everyone's thinking

Finally someone is taking a stand against Satan and his Sinister Secret Santa Ceremonies. Check out the video on Karkis's myspace page.

It was sponsored? paid for? conceptualized? masterminded? by some ad agency. I think it's just some nice holiday fluff, but you can't really trust an ad agency now, can ya? Whatevs. It's still better than CoqRoq, the band aping Slipknot, who were themselves just aping Figora. It's a vicious circle and it's just too far removed to make me want to rebel. Or buy chicken fries. (via Adland)
